little birdie necklace

made this charm the other day. i tend to use this same chain for wearing many of the charms i make.  i love oxidized jewelry!

doodle tree inspired

earrings that i made. simple is sometimes best.

leaf necklace and flower bracelet i made.

doodle tree.

i love doodling and decided why not doodle on a canvas rather than all over every little piece of paper around me.  this is about 24" x 24".

tree.

i painted this a few weeks ago.  i finally got around to hanging it and photographing it!  composed of three 12" x 12" & 1.25" deep canvases. i plan on doing a few more very similar for a season series.

not a dish rag!!!

so i finally crocheted something larger than a dish rag!!!  j's sister was going to be having a little boy and i was so excited to get to have a "real" reason to crochet!  i found this great yarn at Hobby Lobby and couldn't wait to get started.  j and i calculated that it took me about 5 to 10 minutes to do a row and there were 60 rows.  so i estimated about 7 hours throughout a month time frame.  the final size was something close to 24" x 30", if i remember correctly.  i used a P size hook. i thought i was doing a triple stitch but just looked it up and looks like i made my own stitch up. well Grandma looks like next week you will be showing me how to correctly crochet yet again!!!  any who.....i guess if you continue to use the same stitch over and over, even if it's wrong, your project will turn out beautifully!!!
